Awards and achievements:

 - unofficial title of the main architect of Pentium

 - Since 1970 worked at the Institute of Precision Mechanics and Computer Engineering where he participated in development of Elbrus-1 and Elbrus-2 supercomputers, and the «El-76» high level programming language.

- In 1986 Professor Pentkovskiy headed development of the «El-90» 32-bit microprocessor.

- In 1993 Prof. Pentkovskiy started working for Intel where became on of the authors and architects of vector (SIMD) extension of commands of coherent ray tracing (SSE) that first appeared in  Pentium-III microprocessors. The main architect of  Pentium III, Core 2 Duo,  HAL9000, Matrix processors.
