Quote by the head of the laboratory: In the laboratory that has been created with support from the mega-grant from the government we are developing the domain of nanostructured materials and alloys for enhancing their qualities. This can be of interest for applications in technology and medicine. IN particular, we are producing implants from nanotitanium and placing them into human organisms. Implants interact with blood, so we need a special coating, and such coating has been successfully developed by the Institute of Chemistry of the Saint Petersburg State University.
