Professor
Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)
Areas of scientific interest: physics of semiconductor nanocrystals, lasers and LEDs based on nanocrystals, nanophotonics, optoelectronics, nanomaterials, plasmonics.
The latest Prof. Demir’s activity is related to the application of various semiconductor nanomaterials for lasing applications. He is one of the pioneers in the field of nanolasers based on advanced photonics modes (e.g. bound states in the continuum).
