Professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University (USA)
Fedor Alekseevich Bogomolov is a widely cited mathematician working in the field of algebraic geometry. The scientist is the author of more than 100 scientific articles on mathematics. His research on Calabi-Yau manifolds, hyperkähler manifolds, the theory of algebraic surfaces, stable vector bundles, arithmetic algebraic geometry underlie modern algebraic geometry and its intersections with theoretical physics (string theory). The scientist's name is borne by the Bogomolov decomposition theorem and the Beauville-Bogomolov form.
Research interests:
Algebraic geometry, theory of groups and their presentations, number theory, topology, complex geometry
In Researcher’s Words:
The Laboratory has become a worldwide brand in the field of algebraic geometry, its research is an investment into the future development of science and technologies: the path from fundamental mathematics to strings theory and quantum computers.
