Head of the Scientific Laboratory of Optical Coherence Tomography, Research Institute of Experimental Oncology and Biomedical Technologies of the Privolzhskiy Research Medical University (Russia)
Leading scientist's research interests: Developing methods of optical coherent tomography for their efficient clinical applications, interaction between optical radiation and biological tissues.
Quote by the head of the laboratory:
The result of our work within the mega-grant is a world-class laboratory. We have created an OCT device that is the first one to implement 4 types of visualization. This device was used as a basis for developing and testing ways to predict individual response of a patient to anti-tumor therapy by evaluating microstructure, mirocirulation and stiffness of tissues using optical coherent tomography.
